Let's imagine that you are a professional photographer and you have a lot of photos stored on your computer. Some of these photos may need adjusting a bit because even the most advanced digital camera doesn't always produce perfect pictures. But the problem is how do adjust all these photos. You could, of course, use Adobe Photoshop, which is the most known program for editing images, but unfortunately, this software takes a lot of time to be mastered and requires a lot of system resources. Microsoft Paint is out of the question, as this program is too simple for most users.

Pixeloise is a different kind of image editing application, being simple enough for most users and having the necessary features for advanced users. The program allows the user to customize the exposure, brightness and other such values of any photo, using a simple graphical interface.

When loaded, this Windows program displays some sample photos, which can be modified, allowing the user to learn how the program works. Each photo has its EXIF information displayed beneath it, which contains the focal length, aperture size, ISO value and so on. These values can be used by photographers to determine whether a photo needs adjusting or not.

If a photo requires adjusting, the user can apply different corrections to it and can make it perfect. For accessing images much faster, they can all be organized in special folders, according to certain criteria, like the moment of the day they were taken, the exposure value, the aperture size and so on. Having all the photos organized in such a way will make it easier for a photographer to find a desired image.

Photos can be easily loaded from the user's hard disk or from a Picasa account. After an image has been edited, it can be saved over the original one or as a copy.

Pros

It allows editing a wide range of image formats, like JPEG, GIF, BMP and so on. Besides that, the photos can have numerous corrections applied to them. Furthermore, the EXIF information for every photo can be displayed. Moreover, images can be loaded locally or from a Picasa account.

Cons

The program may take some time to be fully mastered by beginners. Pixeloise is a simple and fully-featured application for editing and correcting photos, making them perfect.
